Japanese note: «konnichiwa» is the shortend version of «konnichi wa gokiken ikaga desu ka?» which means «how are you feeling today?»

You use this greeting, when you meet a person or visit another house during the evening.
Japanese note: «ojamashimasu» is a greeting used when entering someones' home. «konbanwa ojamashimasu»: Excuse me for bothering you tonight.

Good night
You wish «good night» before (somebody's) going to bed.
Japanese note: «oyasumi» literally means «rest well».

Nice to meet you
This greetings is used when you meet another person for the first time.

«Please be kind to me»
Japanese note: This is one of the possible translations for the japanese expression «yoroshiku onegaishimasu». It can be used after the greeting «hajimemashite» and it's also a polite way of thanking someone in advance, whom you asked to do something: «dōzo yoroshikuonegaītashimasu»
